Week 3 - The Bell Striker (with updates)
Still in the build process with more updates. Last week I got the first prototypes printed but the printer on the ITP floor keeps making it semi-spaghtetti and adding more friction to the gear than necessary. So tomorrow after class/work I am heading to LaGuardia Print Studio for a consultation and get advice on what material to print it there since they have more options, which will hopefully be cleaner prints. Week 2 - The Design of Time
Implement Clock Design I completely scrapped my poop clock idea/design because collecting the data led to inconclusive results. Instead, I decided to create a clock inspired by my childhood experience in my dad's village. Concept Growing up, there was a giant bell/clock tower in the village square that would ring on the hour. Week 1 - Timekeeper Assignment
Clocks I like So for this assignment I already knew of some timekeeper designs and found others that really got me thinking about time in different ways. My top pick is probably the Nitendo alarmo clock . Maybe because I love Mario or maybe because its "interactive" and Im in a "interactive" arts program. But it is this interactive alarm clockt that uses motion sensors and has different game themed sounds and animations, and I love how playful it is and how it turns waking up
